About the Course

A coherent approach to the operations and maintenance phase is essential for the long-term sustainability of infrastructures. This course focuses on aspects related to operations and maintenance management of infrastructures, showcasing multiple examples from around the world

Infrastructure operations, risk management, maintenance planning, and management concepts will be introduced, with accompanying case studies to better enhance understanding

Common infrastructure systems related issues, such as disaster preparedness and replacing aging developments—an emerging need for some advanced economies—will also be examined in this module. 

The course consists of 4 units:

  • Unit 1: Operations Management (15 minutes)

  • Unit 2: Infrastructure Services, Business Management and Business Development (14 minutes)

  • Unit 3: Maintenance Management (13 minutes)

  • Unit 4: Disaster Recovery and Infrastructure Replacement (14 minutes)
